COMMISSIONS

The New Freedom Project invites commissions and public and private acquisitions. As an artist and researcher, Charmaine Minniefield works with families and communities to preserve their sacred materials  and to create new works of art as monuments in honors of the life and legacy of their ancestors.

CONSULTING

By working with local libraries, state archives and historical societies, Charmaine Minniefield provides guidance to organizations and individuals who are interested in the research and preservation of the history of families, communities and institutions.  With access to an extensive network of professionals versed in estate appraising and to institutions with expertise in acquisition and management, the New Freedom Project allows for a comprehensive experience for communities, organizations and families alike.

COMMUNITY PROGRAMMING

The New Freedom Project seeks to:

• Engage audiences in critical community dialogue around freedom, social justice and equality,
• Encourage and facilitate the preservation of history by providing cultural content and programming which celebrates freedom as experienced throughout the world,
• Insight a movement for a present generation to affect change inspired by the examples of civil and human rights movements throughout history.

Programming and consulting services are provided by the New Freedom Project team, lead by the Executive Producer and Artist, Charmaine Minniefield. For over 20 years, Charmaine Minniefield has worked in the community, providing both arts and civic programming with some of the nation’s most noted cultural and service agencies. Her experiences range in leadership roles from marketing and promotions to project management and event production with such organizations as:

Points of Light, National Black Arts Festival, the High Museum of Art, Hands On Atlanta and the Martin Luther King, Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change, Alternate ROOTS and Flux Projects. Her career as a producer and program consultant has been steeped in civic engagement with an emphasis on family and community programming. This wide range of experiences has afforded her the opportunity to target a variety of audiences and communities.
